Selous Impala Camp was created from a pure love for wild spaces. Few places are as untamed as the famous Selous in southern Tanzania. The camp opened in 2005 and sits along the beautiful Rufiji River. Its setting brings guests close to nature while offering style and comfort.
Selous Impala Camp is one of the leading camps inside Nyerere National Park. Many travellers return because of its charm and peaceful surroundings. The park, once called Selous Game Reserve, was renamed in 2019 to honour Tanzania’s first president, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere.
Covering over 30,000 square kilometres, Nyerere National Park is the largest in Tanzania. It is also one of the biggest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Here, the wild remains raw, vibrant, and full of life.
